EUCHARISTIC EXPOSITION – at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart: Eucharistic Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament on the first Thursday afternoon of each month immediately following the 12:10 p.m. Mass until 6 p.m. The Scriptural Rosary will be prayed on the hour and the Sacrament of Penance will be available from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Evening Prayer will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by Benediction and Reposition at 6 p.m.

ACTIVE ALL-NIGHT ADORATION – Join us in Communion of Reparation. Every first Friday, beginning with 7 p.m. Mass and ending with 8 a.m. Mass the following Saturday at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Pearland. Scheduled dates in 2008 are Nov. 7-8 and Dec. 5-6. Activities include Mass, Confession, Adoration, Rosary, Divine Mercy and Praise & Worship with breaks built in between, so the night passes quickly. MASS & ROSARY - The Helpers of God’s Precious Infants invites the community to attend a peaceful and prayerful Mass and Rosary on Saturday, Nov. 15.  Mass will begin at 8 a.m. at St. Monica Church, 8421 W. Montgomery Road St.  Adoration will begin at 9 a.m. at the church. A Rosary Procession to Affordable Women’s Clinic, 7007 N. Freeway will also follow after Mass.   If you cannot join us on Saturday, please remember us and all individuals whose lives we touch that day in your prayers.

TAIZE SUNG PRAYER – A Thanksgiving Taizé Sung Prayer, in commemoration of Thanksgiving, will be celebrated on Sunday Nov. 23, 7:30 p.m., the Sunday evening before Thanksgiving Day, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6800 Buffalo. ARCHDIOCESAN CELEBRATION OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE – Come and celebrate Our Lady of Guadalupe at the George R. Brown Convention Center on Sunday, December 7. Religious pre-Hispanic dances and songs to Our Lady of Guadalupe will begin at 2 p.m. The Holy Eucharist will start at 5 p.m. with Daniel Cardinal DiNardo presiding and Auxiliary Bishop Joe Vasquez will be the homilist.  Clergy and laity are encouraged to participate. DAMON – Sts. Cyril and Methodius Barbecue and Bazaar on Sunday, Nov. 9, on church grounds. BBQ beef, chicken and sausage with all the trimmings. Plates are $8 each. Ice cold drinks sold. HIT THE JACKPOT AT S.E.A.S. – A great time is sure to be dealt to all at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School’s 2008 Auction Gala, “Hit the Jackpot at S.E.A.S.” The big event will take place Nov. 15, at the Omni Houston Westside.  Everyone is welcome. Society of St Vincent de Paul- From the beginning, the central and most basic activity of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul has been the “Visit that Consoles” – visiting those in need in their homes. This action is the clearest symbol of the Vincentian charism which dictates the highest respect for the dignity of those in need: the visitor becomes the guest and the person helped is the master. ADORATION – The Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in their convent chapel on the first Sunday of every month from after the 8:45 a.m. Mass until noon. Women who are discerning a religious vocation may wish to avail of this opportunity to pray with the Sisters and join us for lunch afterwards. ST. AMBROSE ALUMNI – St. Ambrose School is attempting to establish an alumni database directory in celebration of their 50th Anniversary in 2010. ST. JOSEPH ALUMNI – The St. Joseph School Alumni Search Committee in Baytown is looking for graduates, former students, teachers and staff as part of its planning for the school’s approaching 60th birthday. The reunion activities are scheduled for the weekend of April 24-26, 2009. In addition to name, current address, phone number and e-mail address, information should include year of graduation/attendance, and maiden and spouse’s name, where applicable. This information will be entered into a new database that will allow the committee to send out reunion plans, updates and news of former classmates to all interested parties. The committee hopes to receive as many entries as possible before the projected mailing of an initial newsletter in the fall of this year.
